OMG! Idiosyncratic Fashionistas in Vogue Japan!
Our mothers always told us that it was impolite to interrupt, but you know how it is - sometimes you just get so excited that you can't help yourself.
And since we're interrupting ourselves (and the post we put up just yesterday), and not somebody else, maybe it's OK.
ANYWAY, we are stunned and breathless and gobsmacked to tell you that we are now appearing in Vogue Japan on line!!!! We're two of six "obaachan" (grannies) featured for our jewelry, and we're in good company.
We have Ari Seth Cohen, who recently featured us on his blog Advanced Style to thank for our new found international celebrity status.
Thanks, Ari! And domo arigato gozaimasu, Vogue Japan, for a photo essay that recognizes that grannies are more than just bakers of cookies for their grandkids!
(Oh, and photo credits: Ari also took the pictures.)
Happy 1/11/11, everybody!
I am so pleased for you. You are some of my favorite folks, great muses.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your exciting news!!!! You are both spectacular!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the good news--you go girls! Paula
ReplyDeleteDear cousin Valerie,
ReplyDeleteMummy sent me a copy of your mail so I can discover your blog. I find you and your friend Jean very joyful and enthusiast, as your fashion style (although I'm not specially fascinated by fashion...)
If you don't mind, I'd be glad to discuss with you about family, more "personal" things...
Kisses XXXXX
Evelyne, your french cousin
